Amed Weather in November

November marks the belated arrival of the wet season in Amed. While south Bali has been accumulating heavy rainfall since October, Amed only reaches 75 mm over 9 rain days in November — less than a third of what Denpasar receives in the same month. Mount Agung's sheltering effect remains powerful. Temperatures rise to 33°C and humidity climbs to 76% — warm but not uncomfortable by Bali standards. Diving continues but with more variable conditions: some days deliver 15 metre visibility and completely calm seas; on others, after heavy rainfall, visibility can drop to 8–10 metres at Tulamben and the Amed reef sites. Morning dives are more reliable than afternoon sessions. The fishing village life is at its most authentic in November — low visitor numbers, affordable accommodation, and local warungs serving fresh catch at genuine local prices. The volcanic landscape starts greening dramatically as November rains refresh the dry season-parched hillsides. The backdrop of Mount Agung, often capped with cloud, is dramatic and photogenic. For budget-conscious divers willing to accept some variability, November offers excellent value.
