Lovina Weather in March

March marks a clear transition on Lovina's north coast as rainfall drops to around 140 mm over 14 days — noticeably less than the same month in Ubud (260 mm) or Seminyak (225 mm). Temperatures climb slightly, hitting 32°C by midday, and the humidity eases toward 79%. More importantly, sunny windows in the morning and late afternoon lengthen considerably. This is the month when the sea clarity begins to improve after the wet season murkiness, and snorkeling conditions at the Lovina reef start to deliver reliable visibility. The standout cultural event is Nyepi, the Balinese Day of Silence, which typically falls in March or occasionally April. The evening before Nyepi, spectacular Ogoh-Ogoh processions take place in Singaraja and surrounding villages — enormous papier-mâché demon effigies are paraded and burned to cleanse the island before the new Saka year begins. On Nyepi itself the entire island goes dark and silent for 24 hours. Waterfalls are at their scenic peak this month with good water flow but easier access as rain eases. The Banjar Hot Springs are particularly enjoyable when the air is warm and humid. Lovina remains very quiet in March, with accommodation prices still at low-season levels.
