Lovina Weather in April

April is a welcome turning point on Lovina's north coast. Rainfall drops sharply to around 55 mm over just 6 days — similar to what Bali's south coast won't experience until June. The dry season arrives two to three weeks earlier here due to the rain shadow of the central mountains. Temperatures reach 33°C at peak but humidity drops to a comfortable 75%, making the heat tolerable. The Bali Sea turns a deep turquoise and visibility for snorkeling and diving at the offshore reef improves dramatically to 15–20 metres in good conditions. Dolphin-watching success rates are excellent in April; the calmer, clearer mornings mean better sightings of spinner dolphins leaping at sunrise. Inland, Lovina's position as a base for north Bali exploration shines in April — day trips to Munduk coffee plantations, Bedugul botanical gardens, and Bali Treetop Adventure Park are all comfortable with minimal rain risk. The famous twin lakes of Tamblingan and Buyan, often shrouded in mist during the wet season, begin to open up under clearer skies. This is a strong shoulder-season month: weather is excellent but visitor numbers haven't yet reached the July–August surge, so local guesthouses and dive operators are available without booking far ahead.
