Lovina Weather in February

February is the second wettest month in Lovina with around 175 mm of rain over 16 days, but conditions compare favourably with southern Bali which can see double that rainfall. Humidity peaks at around 81–85%, the highest of the year, making early mornings feel heavy and warm. Despite this, the Bali Sea remains calm and relatively clear — the north coast is shielded from the southwest monsoon that roughens up Kuta's beaches. Dolphin-watching tours continue to depart at sunrise; operators report reliable sightings year-round since Lovina's spinner dolphin pods feed in these nutrient-rich waters. The village of Kalibukbuk is at its quietest with only a handful of tourists, giving the area a genuine local feel. Warungs along the beachfront serve freshly grilled fish at very low prices. Inland excursions to Lake Tamblingan and Lake Buyan reward with misty dramatic scenery. February also tends to bring occasional Chinese New Year celebrations to the Chinese-heritage community in nearby Singaraja, the former Dutch colonial capital of Bali. Accommodation rates remain at their lowest of the year, making this a strong budget-travel window for visitors who don't mind occasional afternoon downpours.
