Sanur Weather in July

July is Sanur's peak month — the dry season is firmly established with only 40 mm of rain over 3 days and humidity at a comfortable 70%. The southeast trade winds blow strongly and consistently, making Sanur bay the top kite and wind sports destination on Bali. The Bali International Kite Festival is traditionally held at Padang Galak beach adjacent to Sanur — a spectacular annual event where enormous traditional Balinese kites (some up to 100 metres long) compete alongside international teams, with a gamelan orchestra providing the musical backdrop. Crowds gather in their thousands on the beach to watch the sky fill with colour. Beyond kites, July's conditions are outstanding for all beach and water activities: snorkeling, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, and day trips to the Nusa islands. The fast boat crossing to Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Penida is smooth in July's calm Lombok Strait conditions. Sanur's beachfront promenade is at its liveliest in July — families from Europe, Australia, and Asia fill the walking path. Despite being peak season, Sanur retains its characteristically relaxed atmosphere compared to Seminyak or Kuta.
