Bali: Snorkeling Blue Lagoon 2 Spot & Lunch optional Village

Blue Lagoon is located within Padang Bai, a small harbor town on Bali's east coast — roughly 1.5 hours from Kuta, Ubud, or Sanur by car. The bay sits in a protected cove on the eastern side of the Padang Bai headland, sheltered from open-ocean swell, which keeps the water calm and visibility consistently good. This tour covers two distinct snorkeling spots: Blue Lagoon Bay itself, and Tanjung Jepun (Cape Jepun), which lies just around the headland to the east. Blue Lagoon Bay features coral gardens starting from around 2 to 5 meters depth, with clear water and a variety of reef fish including clownfish, angelfish, chromis, and trumpet fish. Tanjung Jepun is known for artificial reef structures that have generated particularly dense fish aggregations — the entire cast of the coral-fish ecosystem is often present: parrotfish, lionfish, moray eels, octopus, and schools of smaller reef species. Sea turtles are occasionally seen at both spots. The two locations offer genuinely different habitats within a 15-minute boat ride of each other, which is why the two-spot format exists. Traditional Balinese jukung outriggers are used for the transit between spots — the same flat-bottomed outrigger design that local fishermen use, suited to the calm, shallow-reef waters of this stretch of coast. Snorkeling gear (mask, fins, snorkel) is provided and fitted at the start. The optional village lunch adds a stop at a local community in the Padang Bai area, where a traditional Balinese meal is prepared — typically rice, sauteed vegetables, a protein dish, and sambal, served in a domestic setting rather than a tourist restaurant. This extends the overall tour from roughly 3-4 hours to 5-6 hours and costs extra, but it's a worthwhile addition if you want a more complete experience of East Bali rather than just a water activity.
