Seminyak Weather in August

August is the meteorological peak of Bali's dry season and the single busiest month in Seminyak's annual calendar. Just three rain days, humidity at its annual low of 69%, and reliably blue skies from dawn to dusk create objectively the best beach weather of the year on the southwest coast. The trade winds keep temperatures comfortable despite the direct tropical sun, and surf conditions at Seminyak and Berawa beaches are at their most consistent and clean. The trade-off is that every other international visitor has also noticed. Beach clubs require advance booking days ahead, Jalan Kayu Aya becomes gridlocked at dinnertime, and hotel rates hit their annual peak. Indonesian Independence Day on August 17 adds a local celebration layer — panjat pinang (greased pole climbing) competitions and community festivities take place in Kuta and Denpasar, and streets across Seminyak hang with red-and-white Indonesian flags. Seminyak's international restaurant and bar scene runs at maximum capacity, with world-class DJs appearing at Ku De Ta and other beach venues throughout the month.
